In Vitro Generation
Research Strategy

in vitro generation

This research strategy involves using the laboratory setting to combine cells, scaffolds and signaling factors to produce and optimize desired tissues that would then be transplanted into the body. Among the methods involved by this approach are: use of molds, acoustic fields or magnetic force, cell assembling in cords, sheets or spheroids, organoid technology, hydrogel encapsulation, seeding in fibrillar supports, organ-on-chip constructs, use of additives (e.g. macromolecular crowding), controlled differentiation, biophysical (mechanic or electric) stimulation, synthetic biology, etc.
